Frequently asked questions about AI résumé

Is my résumé stored?
It is uploaded to our server and passed to the large language model for analysis, but it is not stored. After payment succeeds your résumé is sent only with that single request: the backend hands it to the model and returns the result straight to the browser — nothing is written to a database, to disk or to browser local storage, and the in-memory copy is released when the request ends. The model call log keeps only reconciliation metadata such as the order number, model name, token counts, duration and character counts; your résumé text and the model output are never stored. If you want extra safety, replace your phone number and email with placeholders and restore them before exporting.
How is AI résumé charged, and is a failed run refunded?
Charged per run, ¥0.5 each. Clicking “Optimise with AI” opens the payment dialog, and your résumé is sent to the AI only after Alipay confirms payment; one order covers one run. If the model call itself fails (timeout, network error) or returns an error code, the full amount is refunded automatically and you can retry immediately; once the model finishes processing the fee is charged as normal, which is why the confirmation before payment reminds you to keep the résumé on topic for the target role — that is what makes the result worth using. Nothing is uploaded before payment.
Will the AI invent experience I do not have?
No. The prompt explicitly requires keeping employers, schools, dates, numbers and contact details exactly as written, and forbids inventing figures that are not in the source; the AI only adjusts structure, wording and emphasis. Even so, check every line before applying — a résumé is what you take to an interview.
How do I save the optimised résumé?
Use “Copy Markdown” on the right, or click “Export PDF” and choose “Save as PDF” in the browser print dialog for an A4 résumé; to keep editing, paste the Markdown back into any editor. The page never writes your résumé to local storage, and a refresh clears it.
Can I change the layout of the optimised résumé?
Yes — four layouts: Classic uses serif type with a centred name and ruled section headings (a safe pick for traditional industries); Minimal drops the rules and uses small grey headings with generous whitespace; Modern uses blue section headings and contact chips (common for tech and internet roles); Compact tightens type and leading to keep a long résumé on one page. The switcher sits on the “Layout” row above the result: it only changes typesetting, never the text the model returned, and switching back and forth never charges again. Preview and PDF share the same stylesheet, so the sheet on screen is exactly what prints — and it stays white in dark mode too.
Can I change the paper size and margins of the exported PDF?
Yes. Exporting hands the laid-out page to the browser print dialog: click “Export PDF”, then choose “Save as PDF” for an A4 résumé — paper size, margins, scale, headers and footers are all set in that same dialog. The page is already laid out like a résumé (headings stay with their text, lists stay compact), so you do not need to tune font sizes.
